Masquerade is a delightful read from start to finish. The characters are believable but not trite. Dialogue is easy and the pace is quick enough to keep one's attention without rushing the lazy Sunday feel of the story. Enough mystery keeps one guessing until toward the end of the book. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves historical fiction, mystery, and/or romance.Product details

Masquerade is a fun blend of Science Fiction, Romance, Period Drama, and Mystery. Never mired by technical details, it focuses on the likable main character, Roz, and her reaction to the incredible situation she literally falls into. Her journey is entertaining from start to finish as she moves between the past and present, and I appreciated the way the story ended, wrapping up in a way that is more reflective of real life.
This book was unbelievably amazing from start to finish. PL Crompton is fantastic writer and this story was both unique and exciting. It truly has a little bit of everything suspense, romance, action and adventure. The characters are wonderfully developed and I felt a connection to each one of their personalities. I felt like I was right there with them in each scene. I don't like to give out any spoilers but this book will certainly have you looking at romance in an entirely new way.
